PAOC Prayer - Your Update for the Week of November 23, 2020

Re-revised PAOC Prayer Banner

PAOC Prayer is a weekly communication of prayer requests sent from the PAOC International Office in Mississauga, Ont. To download a PDF version of PAOC Prayer, please click here.

Join us this week in praying for these specific needs in our nation, our world, and in our PAOC family of workers, both internationally and in Canada. If you have received this communication as a forwarded message and want to sign up for weekly prayer updates, click here.

Mission Canada Worker
CANADA
Pray for this Mission Canada worker who lives out radical hospitality among those in the Commercial Drive community of East Vancouver, B.C. The missional focus of their intentional Christian community home is to embody the gospel through shared life experiences with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds. Building a web of care in this eight-by-five block urban village helps the good news of Jesus to be lived out in unique and practical ways. Pray for Christians to move into Canada’s cities and neighbourhoods to reach many more with the message of Jesus, while living in a localized and integrated manner. Pray also for believers to see housing opportunities and care as integral to the gospel.

Felix & Cecelia Chiriseri
SOUTH AFRICA
May God bless Felix and Cecelia with wisdom, insight and discernment as they build relationships. Pray that God gives them the strength they need to do all that needs to be done. Pray that Felix and Cecelia will have compassion for those to whom they will be ministering, and that they will model Spirit-empowered lives. Pray for their protection and safety as they travel to communities. Pray also for God’s favour, both in Canada and in South Africa, and that peace will reign throughout the entire country of South Africa.

WORLDWIDE
Pray continually for God to intervene in the spread of the COVID-19 virus, which has infected more than 58,229,135, and killed nearly 1,382,110 people around the world.1 Pray for healing for those infected, and comfort for those who have lost loved ones. Ask God to strengthen and protect frontline and essential workers and to grant peace to their families who are concerned for them. Pray that, as many countries begin to ease restrictions, their economies will respond well and new infections will be limited. Pray for extra protection for people in developing countries who are already malnourished and more vulnerable to this disease. Pray also for the hundreds of PAOC global workers who have remained in the country of their calling, serving their communities and displaying the love of Christ throughout this global pandemic.
