PAOC Prayer - Your Update for the Week of October 26, 2020

Re-revised PAOC Prayer Banner

PAOC Prayer is a weekly communication of prayer requests sent from the PAOC International Office in Mississauga, Ont. To download a PDF version of PAOC Prayer, please click here.

Join us this week in praying for these specific needs in our nation, our world, and in our PAOC family of workers, both internationally and in Canada. If you have received this communication as a forwarded message and want to sign up for weekly prayer updates, click here.

MARITIME DISTRICT
Pray for everyone attending the “Refresh” Fall Pastor’s Conference at Evangel Pentecostal Church in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia, from October 26 to 28. May God uplift and encourage them as they worship and pray together, and have fellowship with one another and with Him. Pray that the Holy Spirit will speak to them and give them a renewed vision on how to reach their communities for Christ.

PERSECUTED CHURCH
Over 260 million Christians around the world are persecuted for their faith in Jesus and are silenced through physical attacks, acts of humiliation and harassment, limited employment opportunities, and more. Please join us on Sunday, November 1, as we pray for the top 50 nations where persecution of Christians exists. Pray for strength, perseverance, faith and peace for those impacted, and for spiritual breakthrough in those regions where the gospel is suppressed. Together we can speak up #forthesilenced. UNITED STATES
Pray for the people across the United States during and after next week’s Presidential election. Pray that, whatever the outcome, people will not be divided against one another and that God’s peace will reign throughout the country. Pray also that the next few weeks will be an incredible time of reconciliation and understanding among families, friends, neighbours and others who have been separated on the issues. Pray also for opportunities for the gospel to spread and that people will find encouragement and hope in Christ.

WORLDWIDE
Please continue to pray for God’s intervention in the spread of the coronavirus, which has infected more than 42,745,210, and killed nearly 1,150,965 people around the world.1 Pray for healing for those stricken with COVID-19, and comfort for those whose loved ones have passed away. May God continually strengthen and protect frontline and essential workers. Pray that, as many countries are easing some restrictions, their economies will respond well, and there will not be a second wave of high infection rates. Pray for protection and provision for people in developing countries who are malnourished and more vulnerable to this disease. Pray also for PAOC global workers who are remaining in the countries where they have been called to minister, and who are continuing to serve their communities with excellence during this global pandemic.
