PAOC Prayer - Your Update for the Week of July 27, 2020

Re-revised PAOC Prayer Banner

PAOC Prayer is a weekly communication of prayer requests sent from the PAOC International Office in Mississauga, Ont. To download a PDF version of PAOC Prayer, please click here.

Join us this week in praying for these specific needs in our nation, our world, and in our PAOC family of workers, both internationally and in Canada. If you have received this communication as a forwarded message and want to sign up for weekly prayer updates, click here.

YEMEN
Yemen is now in its sixth year of civil war. Pray for those affected by violence every day. Pray for the hungry and hurting, as Yemen faces extreme food scarcity. For the past three years Yemen has been listed as the most vulnerable place in the world. Pray for the 80% of people in Yemen who need humanitarian assistance to ensure their survival. Pray for those affected by COVID-19 who cannot depend on the health system, which has collapsed due to medical centre bombings. As ERDO begins an emergency food distribution program, pray for God’s hand on their preparations. Pray especially for the safety of ERDO’s local partners.

Steve & Kathy Bowler
MALAWI
Pray that Steve and Kathy will be blessed with more opportunities to meet with new churches and individuals to share what God is doing in Malawi. Pray for someone to come alongside Kathy and assist with the administrative side of the ministry. Pray also that God will guide them as they balance the needs of their family and the needs of their ministries.

WORLDWIDE
Pray continually for God to intervene in the spread of COVID-19, which has infected more than 16,341,920, and killed nearly 650,810 people around the world.1 Pray for healing for those infected, and comfort for those who have lost loved ones. Ask God to strengthen and protect frontline and essential workers and to grant peace to their families who are concerned for them. Pray that, as many countries begin to ease restrictions, their economies will respond well and new infections will be limited. Pray for extra protection for people in developing countries who are already malnourished and more vulnerable to this disease. Pray also for the hundreds of PAOC global workers who have remained in the country of their calling, serving their communities and displaying the love of Christ throughout this global pandemic.
