The PAOC's 4-14 Initiative - Families & Faith

APRIL 2021 FOCUS

Greetings PAOC credential holders, pastors and church leaders,

Each year we take the month of April to focus on our young through messaging around the 4-14 Initiative.  This year’s theme is FAMILIES & FAITH.

This month, we welcome you to follow us on our social media channels as we share resources available to equip parents in their discipleship role as the primary spiritual nurturers in the home. You will also find resources for use through the local church setting to encourage and train parents, and items specifically designed to help a child’s spiritual formation. More and more, online connections, training,  and encouragement are needed.  We want you to know that you are not alone, and that there are recommended reads, resources and ministry specialists available to help you and give you what you need as we all work together to see the family strengthened in Christian faith in these days.

We encourage you to take a look at the Spring 2021 issue of MAK (Missions and Kids) as it follows this same theme. In a season where the global pandemic continues to present limitations to our corporate and social gatherings, we recognize the ever increasing importance of resourcing around mission and ministry for the family. As we go into this Easter weekend with our hearts focused on the message of Christ’s unconditional love for us, let’s keep our families close as we share together in the death and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  If you have children (or even if you don’t), I encourage you to view the “Who Is Jesus?” video series recently created by one of our churches.
