Ella and Azaiah: Our Life and Prayer

Ella and Azaiah: Our Life and Prayer

The Wylie Family in Thailand (Zach, Megan, Ella, Azaiah and Izra)

Hi my name is Ella. I’m 6.5 years old and I live in Bangkok, Thailand.

What’s your favourite thing about Thailand?

My favourite thing is my house because, it is my house and we do lots of fun things, like host birthday parties and play fun games.

What’s your least favourite thing about Thailand?

My least favourite thing about Thailand is that there is pollution in the air. Pollution is bad dust and it can make you sick. We need to tell people not to drive cars all the time. We need to ride our bikes more.

What is different about Thailand and Canada?

Canada has less people than Thailand and it is a bigger country. Thailand is a small country but it more people. When I’m in Canada I hear people speaking English but in Thailand people speak Thai.

Are you learning Thai?

Yes. Khop khun ka (thank you). Nit noy (a little bit). Sawatdee Ka (hello/goodbye). I take classes and sometimes my dad teaches me. My dad can speak Thai.

Do you go to school?

Yes! I eat lunch, a snack and another snack. My teacher’s name is Mr. Jay. I like my friends because they share with me and we take care of each other. We need to take care of each other because school would feel really scary without each other.

What’s your favourite thing about school?

My favourite thing about school is snack time because we always have yummy treats to eat. I like learning about Math because we sometime use a ‘crocodile friend’ to help us learn. My crocodile friend is on the white board and sometimes when we get math problems wrong, we can correct it with ‘Mr. Crocodile’.

What’s your least favourite thing about school?

My least favourite thing about school is lunch time because sometimes we eat unhealthy things.

Why do we live in Thailand?

We live in Thailand because it’s our home.

What is God teaching you right now?

God is teaching me kindness. I need to learn to be more kind because if I’m not kind I won’t have any friends.

What is your prayer for 2019?

Dear Jesus,
Thank you for our food, thank you for the workshop that made our bread and thank you for the hen that laid the egg. Can you please help the people in Thailand get almost rich but not poor. Thank you for our food, thank you for Adam and Eve, thank you for you and thank you for everyone. But thank you for mostly you. Amen.

Hi! My name is Azaiah. I am 4 years old and I can run faster now.

What’s your favourite thing about Thailand?

My favourite thing to do in Thailand is going to the ‘Funarium’. The funarium is place where babies and big kids can play. I like to go down the big slide. It’s really, really fast.

What’s your least favourite thing about Thailand?
I don’t like giants. There are giants in caves in Thailand. When I was a little boy I saw one in a cave.

Do you go to school?

Yes. I’m in ‘nursery’ and my teacher’s name is Ms. Charlotte. I like playing with my teacher.

What’s your favourite thing about school?

My favourite thing to do at school is to play in the ‘garden’ (playground area).

Are you learning to speak Thai?
Yes. I take Thai classes. Sometimes I like my Thai classes and sometimes I don’t. My favourite Thai word is ‘sawatdee pee may’ that means ‘Happy New Year’.

Do you have any Thai friends?

So many! Arthur, Eton, Kin, Aston and Dillan.

What is God teaching you right now?

Run really, really, really fast. I’ve learned about praying. About Jesus helping me. (Prayed while speaking into the Oreo microphone)

What is your prayer for 2019?

Dear Jesus,
I hope my mom and daddy didn’t die when we are alive. And dear Jesus, I pray that no bad guys will come here to steal our money. I’m thankful for you helping us. (Prayed while praying into the Oreo microphone).

Please pray that we stay healthy...Please pray that we stay safe
We are the Wylies and there are 5 of us! Our parent’s names are Zach and Megan and they are super-mega old.

Our dad is the leader of Imagine Thailand. He works really hard and people really like him. Our mom works with families and helps moms when their having babies. Sometimes she gets called in the middle of the night to go helps moms at the hospital.

This year was exciting because we got a baby brother. His name is Izra but Thai people call him ‘It’sara’. His name means freedom. He is so chubby and he is always wiggly.

Prayer Requests:

• Please pray that we stay healthy. We are sick a lot and sometimes we have wiggly worms. Then we have to take strong medicine.
• Please pray that we stay safe. The roads are really busy with lots of cars and fast motors.
• Please pray for our parents, that they will have lots of energy to take care of us and to do their work.
• Please pray for patience for our whole family. Sometimes we get frustrated with each other.
