Villages of Hope Africa
Purpose
VOH Africa is looking to fill the Director of Programs position with an individual passionate about bringing hope to vulnerable children in sub-Saharan Africa. VOH Africa is an integrated charity of Mission Global and currently cares for over 7,000 vulnerable children at ten centers in 5 countries. VOH centres bring hope to these children by providing them with love and holistic care so they can embrace adulthood as contributing members of society. Holistic care includes emotional, intellectual, physical, social and spiritual care. The successful candidate will join a team of committed people driven to care for vulnerable children in sub-Saharan Africa and who are passionate about seeing them embrace adulthood as contributing member of society and becoming followers of Christ.
Skills
An experienced leader with proven leadership in a ministerial, non-profit or corporate setting is needed to assist the VOH Africa Executive Director with the monitoring and development of VOH Programs and strategic planning. In addition, the Director of Programs will assist the Executive with networking, promotion, fundraising, and any special projects relating to VOH Africa Society. A post-secondary diploma or degree in Business Administration, Social Work, Children’s Ministry, International Development, or related field, is preferred.
Support
Our international team will walk with you along the way – from application to deployment. Cross-cultural training, administrative support and coaching will be provided, along with assistance for promotional and fundraising efforts.
