It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our sister in Christ, Hilda Schnell, on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. Hilda was a former full-time PAOC International/Head Office staff member, and current copy editor with the Office of the General Superintendent’s Communications team. She has been a valuable resource as part of the review and proofreading process for testimony and Enrich, and for our full series of gift books produced for our constituency since 2006.

Hilda was passionate about Jesus, His Word, and her brothers and sisters in Christ throughout The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. She supported our calling and the ministries we serve in prayer and however else she could. The most obvious way was by ensuring that if anything about the PAOC was written about or advertised and passed through her hands, it was published with distinction. As our general superintendent (GS) Dave Wells wrote on news of her passing, “What a legacy of faith and witness she leaves. Almost every article/book I have written as GS has her imprint of excellence on it.”

Hilda was also dedicated to her family, including her husband, Harold, her son, Daniel, and other beloved relatives, friends and colleagues.
