Your gift can double a church's capacity by helping them build onto their already cramped church quarters or send more pastors into the mission field so people can hear the good news of Jesus!

Even as the dark cloud of war envelopes Ukraine, God’s light is shining forth! In fact, Ukraine is beginning to experience something this country hasn’t seen in a long time—revival.

The people of Ukraine have been facing unspeakable suffering since the start of the war. And yet in the midst of this, the Holy Spirit is setting people free and building His church throughout Ukraine.

I am hearing of churches being planted all across the country at an unprecedented rate. And even more amazing, the villages are leading the way in this mighty move of God.

Why the villages, you might ask? Well, more than six million Ukrainians have fled the major cities and towns to these villages, now considered safe havens, since they are rarely, if ever, targets of Russian missiles.

And in these villages, churches are becoming beacons of light for not just the current residents but also thousands of refugees and displaced Ukrainians overwhelming their tiny towns.

As a matter of fact, some of these churches are reaching so many people for Jesus that they are bursting at the seams! I could tell you story after story of churches being packed out, with standing room only. I’ll mention just one to you—it’s about a church brought back to life again.

Photo of Pastor Jeanna in front of her church.Twelve years ago, a team of pastors planted a church in a village, but two years later it closed. Sadly, people were not responding to the gospel message.

Then last spring, two families approached one of our pastors: “Ten years ago you preached the gospel to us, but no one in the village was ready to respond. Today they are ready.”

So last summer, the church was re-planted in an old village house. Led by by Pastors Jeanna and Sasha, it has room for 40 people maximum but is already packed with 50 adults, plus children, every Sunday!

And this story gets even better! Pastor Jeanna shared how she has experienced the power of the Spirit in her own life:

I was an alcoholic for 10 years and drank all the time. I literally couldn’t stop. Things went from bad to worse when I was diagnosed with epilepsy for life. Yet in 2004, God saved my life, completely freeing me from alcohol addiction and healing me from epilepsy! Today, God is using my husband and me to lead a thriving church plant to shine the light of Jesus into the darkness!

Pastors Jeanna and Sasha, along with their passionate church members, are living out Matthew 5:16 where Jesus instructs us, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven” (NIV).

People are being miraculously healed, delivered, and set free all across Ukraine. However, because of this outpouring of the Spirit, church leaders like Pastors Jeanna and Sasha need resources to share the gospel with more people.

These pastors have so many needs—especially because many of these small congregations are crowding into old houses or even a tent. Other churches have people lined up outside, straining to hear the pastor’s message.

Would you help provide our Ukrainian pastors the necessary resources to reach more people through our “Shining the Light in Ukraine” campaign? Just imagine—with your help you can double a church’s capacity by helping them build a small addition onto their already cramped church quarters. Or you can help send more pastors to the mission field, so more people can hear the Good News of Jesus Christ!

We are aiming to raise $130,000 to support the ongoing revival efforts in Ukraine. The apostle Paul writes, “I tell you, now is the time of God’s favour, now is the day of salvation” (2 Cor. 6:2 NIV). The time is now.

Support what is happening in Ukraine and watch God shine His light even brighter! Not even a war can stop what He is doing.

Pray for the revival to grow.

Joel prophesied, “And afterwards, I will pour out my Spirit on all people” (2:28). God is pouring out His Spirit onto the Ukrainian people—men, women, and children are being set free by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Pray for more churches to be planted.

Churches that have closed or were stagnant for many years are now thriving. They are also being seen as integral pillars in their communities, acting as the main distribution centres for food, clothing, and medicine.

Pray for more pastors to shepherd these churches.

God is raising up a generation of Ukrainian pastors, some who have been set free from drugs, alcohol, promiscuity, crime, etc. They are now leading our churches with the Spirit’s anointing.
