Worship and Arts Pastor

Leadership & Pastoral Responsibilities • Pastor the worship teams by fostering community, providing pastoral care, and creating opportunities for spiritual growth. • Empower and disciple worship leaders, musicians, and arts volunteers, helping them recognize and use their God-given gifts. • Recruit, disciple, teach, assimilate, and release increasing numbers of people into the worship and arts ministry. • Develop and support a worship development track for children, youth, and adults. • Provide performance evaluations and coaching for worship and arts staff. Worship & Arts Oversight • Lead/facilitate corporate worship on a regular basis. • Work cooperatively with teaching pastors and the creative planning team to ensure services are developed and executed effectively. • Lead pre-service meeting, so that all team members are on the same page. • Provide leadership to the vocal teams and musicians. • Provide direction to theatrical arts teams (e.g., drama, dance). • Maintain/improve all technology, for a worship experience free of distractions (livestream, lights, media, soundboard, wireless racks) • Identify, train, and coach volunteer leaders in sound, video, lighting, media, and other creative arts.

This candidate will demonstrate strong relational and communication skills with artists and leaders, as well as the ability to lead, empower, and mobilize ministry teams. Ideally, they will have experience in a large, multi-staff church.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about worship and the presence of God, play guitar or piano, and bring a minimum of three years of experience in worship staff leadership. BP Church, Worship and Arts Pastor
