testimony Wins Two Awards at the 2014 Word Guild Gala!
testimony has been making waves again at the Word Guild awards!
Congratulations to our testimony editor, Steve Kennedy, who just won the Word Guild award for Best Column (Single), for the article “Let Nothing Be Wasted” (March 2013 issue – read that article here). Lisa Hall-Wilson, one or our regular feature writers, also won for her story in the Profile/Human Interest category. Her feature story was called “Capturing Beauty,” and featured Sarah Powell and her photography as it related to her journey of grief (April 2013 issue – read that article here). Sarah is the daughter of one of our Mission Canada staff members, Robb Powell, here at the PAOC International Office. (Robb Powell is the campus ministries co-ordinator).
On a related note, one of our recent guests at General Conference 2014, Ken Shigematsu, received both an honourable mention and an actual award in the category of Christian Living for his book, God In My Everything (available at Wordcom Christian Resources – email wordcom@paoc.org or call 905-542-7400 ext. 4248).
Congratulations again to all the winners!
