Ministry Location: Edmonton, AB
Ministry Focus: Urban Ministry
As a Mission Canada urban worker, Bob’s desire is to see the gospel shared across our nation and to lead people into a relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and a life of intimacy with God through prayer.
Bob covets your partnership in prayer as daily He follows the Spirit’s leading, sharing God’s love with those who are far from Him – because we must.
“Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will
fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel,…” Ephesians 6:19
With a focus on community chaplaincy, he is known as “Brother Bob” in many circles of influence and opportunity, whether it be in prisons, malls, hospitals or seniors’ centres. Bob has felt a strong calling to “re-establish the prayer room” outside the church walls, as he engages prayerfully with people in need or those without hope for life. He can be found at community events hosting prayer stations and prayer clinics, or at the other end of the line ready to pray whenever someone dials or texts his 24/7 mobile prayer phone.
As a Mission Canada worker, Bob is seeing this season of life as a time to greater equip the body of Christ in Canada as he provides training on how to share faith, personal discipleship, living in light of eternity, receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the gifts of the Spirit, creating a 24/7 prayer line, and other important messages for the days in which we live.
Bob’s desire is to say with the Apostle Paul, “What then is my reward? Just this: that in preaching the gospel I may offer it free of charge,…” (1 Corinthians 9:18). Your faithful monthly support makes it possible for Bob to devote himself to waiting on the Lord and proclaiming His Word free of charge. Allow the Spirit to guide you as you respond so that Bob can reach those who need to know Christ, and to see believers strengthened in their spiritual journeys.
