Location: Cambodia, Southeast Asia
Ministry Focus: Ian and Tiffanie, Emilyn and Sophia, are PAOC/PAONL global workers in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Ian oversees Global Student Center and dorm that aims to reach university students. They engage students through various ministries and programs that are offered at their center. With housing for 100 students in the dorm and through genuine relationships with the university students off-site, many have come to faith. They are now connected in the discipleship aspect of Global and to the young adult church on site. Tiffanie administers the ChildCARE Plus program in Cambodia. There are currently 12 community-based sites and 16 staff members that help to oversee 600+ children in the program. The program helps the child receive education, feed their families, look after their medical needs and sees them through to post-secondary studies...breaking the cycle of poverty. While the physical needs are met, lives are also transformed by the gospel through the intentional relationship with the staff and local believers!
The Rowley’s are currently fundraising for a new center to call their own and are looking for others to partner with them to see this happen. They have already purchased the land and are working on phase 2. To find out more about this step of obedience, contact them or visit www.project130.org
Ministry History: Coming to Cambodia in 2012 with their young family, the Rowley’s have seen God break through dark places in the lives of children, families and young adults. Incredible growth is happening among both Global Student Center and ChildCARE Plus. Global Students who originally came to faith 7 years ago are now leading the church, discipleship groups and are teaching in the school. ChildCARE Plus are seeing their families come to faith, be involved in the local church and the children pursuing post-secondary studies, which will end the cycle of poverty for their families. Churches are being planted and mentored in both ministries. God has given the Rowley’s deep vision and they are running with it as He paves the way!
