MISSION CANADA CULTURAL LANGUAGE WORKER
Ministry Location: Calgary, AB
Ministry Focus: Cultural Ministry
Elvis and his wife were called to Canada in 2015, after 25 years serving in the Assembly of God in Peru, and moved to Calgary, Alberta in 2017. He was able to transfer his credentials through the PAOC and started a Spanish ministry in partnership with Fist Assembly in Calgary and the district of Alberta until COVID-19 (2018-2020). After this, Elvis began to work as various drivers, but knew these jobs were temporary, as he was called for ministry. God used all these jobs to prepare him for full-time ministry in His kingdom. During this process, Elvis connected with a lot of people from different backgrounds, cultures, and nationalities, sharing the gospel and inviting them to church.
All these years, Elvis was praying for the nation of Canada, the province of Alberta, and the city of Calgary. God put a special love for Canada in Elvis' heart - to serve his community, his church, his neighbours, in sharing the gospel, discipling newcomers to Canada. As Calgary is one of Canada's fastest growing cities, there is an enormous mission field for spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to newcomers (Matthew 9:37-38).
This is a special time for the Church to partner with Elvis as he shares the gospel of Jesus with newcomers to Calgary, who are looking for an answer found in Christ and for Elvis to be an instrument in showing the love, mercy and hope in Christ.
