Hire A Full-time Returning Student this Summer for your Local Church, Camp or Ministry

The Government of Canada has extended the deadline of the Canada Summer Jobs program to March 11, 2016.

Funding for the program is also doubling to $220 million annually for the next three years.

The new funding will help expand the number of youths who can be hired from more than 34,000 in 2015 to up to 70,000 this summer. (Canada Summer Jobs has helped provide more than 350,000 jobs since its inception.)

Not-for-profit employers like churches that participate in the program can receive up to 100 percent of the provincial/territorial minimum hourly wage and mandatory employment-related costs.

Visit Service Canada to find information and locate the online application or visit your local Service Canada Centre for more information to apply for the Summer Jobs Program.

Take the time to apply in order to hire a student to help your local church ministry this summer.
