Over 700 years before the birth of Jesus, Isaiah prophesied: “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (9:6 NIV).  

The coming of our Saviour Jesus Christ was the most anticipated event of the ages. And I personally love tracing this story all the way back to Genesis whichthat then culminates in the Gospels. I believe the Christmas story is truly the greatest story ever told. It is God’s redemptive story for all time that we celebrate every Christmas! 

At Mission Global, we celebrate that Jesus was born to not only take away the sins of the world but to also call out a group of people—today’s Church—to be His disciples to all the nations.
