Children in India face many challenges when they are from poor tribal areas and city slums.  ChildCARE Plus (CCP) child sponsorship ensures that they have enough food and clean water, access to healthcare and the chance to get an education. In India, especially with their large population, there is a lot of competition for jobs. Those without an education are at a disadvantage when attempting to get a job and it is almost impossible to get out of poverty. ChildCARE Plus helps children break the cycle of poverty in their families and opens up opportunities for their future.

 Sponsored children who live at the children’s homes learn about Jesus through chapel three times a week and daily devotions. The ChildCARE Plus administrators have found that children are more likely to continue with their faith into adulthood when they have learned about God at a young age. CCP administrators are motivated by seeing the children’s lives transformed both physically and spiritually. Students who have graduated through ChildCARE Plus have become government workers, railway station managers and workers, teachers, nurses, social workers, private business owners, immigration officers, computer engineers, civil engineers, pastors and electricians.
