Ministry Focus: After a strong sense of call into missions, I began feeling a burden in my heart for the nation of Japan. With 99% of the population not knowing Christ and a history of some of the world’s highest suicide rates, I knew this was a place that’s desperately in need of hearing about God’s love and the joy that comes from salvation.

I will be working in a collaborative ministry effort with PAOC and Youth with a Mission (YWAM) to help develop a new ministry base in Sendai.

YWAM Sendai is working to establish a missional community that will function linguistically and culturally in both English and Japanese. We desire to creatively explore ways in which the Gospel can be shared and expressed in an authentic Japanese way.

We have the goal of developing into a missions center where we will run Bible and discipleship schools, with an emphasis on youth and young adults. Our heart is, not only to grow the community of faith within Sendai, but to also champion and release more people to spread God’s love within the nation.

My personal desire is to engage with people by means of music and singing. Upon learning the language, I would love to create original Japanese faith-based music and find avenues of sharing it.

I’ve witnessed and experienced, firsthand, how God can use a YWAM base and its leaders to impact the lives of people and a community. Because of this, God has stirred up a desire and excitement within my heart to be part of this team, developing a new ministry in an area that needs to hear and see God’s love in motion.

Ministry History: After graduating from Lee University, a Christian school in the U.S., I worked as a church administrative assistant for 3.5 years. Upon sensing a call of missions, I resigned from the position to take a Discipleship Training School overseas where God confirmed the call and began preparing me for what He had for me next.

Throughout the years, I’ve served on worship teams, as a youth leader, as well as in children’s ministry. I have gone on multiple short-term mission and ministry trips to places including Alberta, Northwest Territories, USA, Ukraine, Rwanda, Australia and Papua New Guinea.
