PAOC Prayer - Your Update for the Week of December 21, 2020

Re-revised PAOC Prayer Banner

Thank you, friends, for joining us in PAOC Prayer. This will be the final update for 2020, with a change to the format in 2021. The new format will be posted during the week of January 11, 2021.

PAOC Prayer is a weekly communication of prayer requests sent from the PAOC International Office in Mississauga, Ont. To download a PDF version of PAOC Prayer, please click here.

Join us this week in praying for these specific needs in our nation, our world, and in our PAOC family of workers, both internationally and in Canada. If you have received this communication as a forwarded message and want to sign up for weekly prayer updates, click here.

CHRISTMAS
During this Christmas season, pray that more Christians will take the time to deepen their understanding of the season of advent, and embrace its full meaning so that Christ becomes the focus of our activities. Ask God to help Christians everywhere to be responsive to opportunities to share the truth about Christ and the meaning of advent with our neighbours, friends and families. Pray that PAOC churches will be effective in sharing the message of Christ’s birth, life, death and resurrection, so that many hearts and lives will be changed during this season. Pray also that Christians will recognize thoughtful ways to express God’s love to those without hope during this season and always.

David & Eileen Courey
BELGIUM
Pray for favour for Dave and Eileen with students, churches and communities they have the opportunity to impact. Pray that God will bless them with wisdom and guidance to mentor and disciple well, and for creativity and anointing in writing and preaching. Pray also for continued student enrolment at the seminaries they are involved with.

WORLDWIDE
Pray continually for God to intervene in the spread of the COVID-19 virus, which has infected more than 75,479,470, and killed nearly 1,686,270 people around the world.1 Pray for healing for those infected, and comfort for those who have lost loved ones. Ask God to strengthen and protect frontline and essential workers and to grant peace to their families who are concerned for them. Pray that, as many countries begin to ease restrictions, their economies will respond well and new infections will be limited. Pray for extra protection for people in developing countries who are already malnourished and more vulnerable to this disease. Pray also for the hundreds of PAOC global workers who have remained in the country of their calling, serving their communities and displaying the love of Christ throughout this global pandemic.
