GENERAL CONFERENCE 2018

Pray for everyone attending General Conference this week (May 7 – 10) in Victoria, B.C., that God will grant them encouragement and clear direction as they worship, pray, and share ideas with each other on reaching their communities for Christ. Pray also that, as they celebrate the upcoming centennial of The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada by considering pictures of our past, the present and into the future, they will be inspired and motivated in their missional focus.

EASTERN ONTARIO & NUNAVUT DISTRICT

Pray for the children who will be attending Blast, the children’s convention on May 12 at Lakeshore Pentecostal Camp in Cobourg, Ontario. May they have powerful encounters with God, engage in passionate worship and experience life-changing teaching sessions. Pray that God will prompt many children to attend, and that He will remove any obstacles to their attendance. Pray that He will prepare their hearts to receive all that He wants to accomplish during this event. Pray that many seeds will be planted in their hearts and that their lives and their families’ lives will be impacted for eternity.

Nelly Latchman

CANADA

Pray for Nelly, a Mission Canada worker, serving at the University of Windsor in Ontario, as she connects with students on a daily basis and challenges them to consider a hope and purpose for life found only in Jesus. Pray for vision and creativity so that Nelly will see and be able to meet the practical and spiritual needs of students. Pray that students will be empowered with boldness to make counter-cultural decisions. Pray also that strong, healthy relationships between the university and Windsor area churches will be developed and existing ones will be strengthened.

VENEZUELA

Pray for peace and calm throughout Venezuela as inflation has quadrupled in the past two months and there has been persistent food and medicine shortages. The current president is threatening an armed revolution ahead of the upcoming May 20 election. Pray that God would guide the citizens and leaders of Venezuela as they move forward and that all decisions made will be for the benefit of the country. Pray also that people’s needs will be provided and cared for.
