Join us this week in praying for these specific needs in our nation, our world, and in our PAOC family of workers, both internationally and in Canada. If you have received this communication as a forwarded message and want to sign up for weekly prayer updates, click here.

WESTERN ONTARIO DISTRICT

The Elevation Leadership Conference will be taking place at Silver Birches Camp in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, from September 14 to 15. Pray for all of the youth and/or young adult pastors and their leadership teams who will be attending. May they be equipped, encouraged and empowered as their leadership skills are developed and sharpened. Pray also that they will build deep connections and be able to share ideas with one another.

SASKATCHEWAN DISTRICT

Pray for everyone attending the Fall Prayer and Fasting Retreat at Living Waters Camp in MacDowall, Saskatchewan, from September 11 to 12. Pray that people will be inspired and encouraged in their prayer lives through their days together. Pray also that the Holy Spirit will touch their lives in a powerful way as they share God’s word together and have time for peaceful reflection and refreshment in God’s creation.

INDIA

The worst flooding in nearly a century has displaced more than one million people in Kerala, India, and at least 450 people have died. Many have taken shelter in thousands of relief camps across the state, and have become vulnerable to several disease outbreaks. ERDO will be responding through a local church partner, providing emergency food kits for families. Pray that aid supplies will get to where they are needed. Pray for wisdom for government authorities in responding to people’s needs. Pray that God will comfort those in the affected areas, whether they have been injured, lost family and friends, or lost their homes. Pray also that many people will have opportunities to hear and receive the gospel.

LOVE EURASIA (Names withheld)

May God bless this couple’s ministry as they build relationships with and minister to the people around them. Pray that their family would continue to adjust well to the life and culture in the country where they serve. Pray also that God will encourage, strengthen and guide them as they help refugees who have migrated from Syria by working with the local church to provide food, clothing and other necessities.
