Living Memorial
Loss and grieving are a painful but certain part of life. The passing of a loved one can bring overwhelming feelings of sadness and helplessness. Comfort and encouragement to the family and in memory of the deceased can be expressed in many meaninful ways, including flowers and cards. However, we would like to encourage you to consider an even more precious option - one that can bring hope in the midst of heartache. For more than 45 years, The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada's Living Memorial fund has been a valuable means of hounouring the memories of our loved ones while supporting missions work around the world. Close to one million dollars has been raised since its inception, and countless lives have been impacted for eternity with the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Urgently needed humanitarian assistance has been made possible through buildings and programs that have been made feasible through Living Memorial funding. Donor's generousity has helped many children, orphans, Bible college students, pastors and communities with pressing ministry needs. Examples of recent projects that have benefitted from Living Memorial donations include the Zambia Village of Hope's preschool and the second phase of its high school, completed in 2006. These children's lives are being impacted in a way that will bring eternal blessings not only to them, but to their communities and to their country.
