What's New

Refresh and Recuperate!

Mon, July 02, 2012 - Peter & Sandra McIntosh Thailand
The month of June is a highlight of the year. It's the one time all our workers come together!

June is one of our favourite times of the year. It's the one time the entire Global Worker family in South East Asia gets together to relax and be refreshed. This year was a great time for everyone as they were ministered to by Darcy & Leanne McAlister and Clarence Buckle. Our kids and youth were blessed by the Tyndale Nfld. Team who also lead worship at the retreat. Our largest group ever of 94 people joined together. We are so thankful for what the Lord is doing in this region. We have several new families joining the team in 2012/13! They are bringing fresh new ideas and passion to our part of the world, increasing the opportunity for this needy part of the world to hear about Jesus.

Just before the retreat the Tyndale team came helped renovate Impact School of Missions. They did an incredible job and served with excellence. On day two, however, Peter had a mishap with a ladder. While painting a 15? ceiling the ladder collapsed under him. He came crashing down and broke his elbow in 10 pieces and his shoulder in 6. His mobility was also affected due to soft tissue damage to his hips. After an 8 hour surgery he was put back together again. We are thankful to the will have a few months of physio therapy for his arm. Remarkably he has taken no pain medication since being released from the hospital. Many people have written, called and skyped us assuring us of their prayers. Peter has mentioned there are times when he feels the tangible presence of God all over his arm. We covet continued prayer for complete restoration! Thank you for your prayers, love, support and encouragement.
