Prayer Request/Praise Report: Pray for daily health, strength and protection for the Mercers in the face of crime and disease.
Pray for the graduates of the Bible school and pastors of the churches that God would keep them true and give them a strong missionary vision in this land of deprivation, corruption and spiritual wickedness.
Pray for the continuation of the present political climate that allows full religious freedom, so that the work of the Lord may continue to expand.

Profile
The Mercers opened the Bible school in the capital city of Maputo in 1985. Bill oversees the extension program that reaches approximately 100 centres and over 1,000 students in Mozambique. Linda oversees an active Christian education department. This includes pre-schools in the local churches, ministry to youth, a morals and ethics course, and an AIDS prevention program in the public schools. She is also involved in a medical association, promoting health projects such as food supplements for undernourished children.
