Equipping Leaders for an Empowered Church

Leadership Training will be the Greatest Challenge of the Church in the Next Two Decades - The growth of the church in the majority world is outstripping its training capacity. Therefore, missional initiatives must make leadership development one of its indispensible priorities. The PAOC is attempting to do this by making equipping one of its four core objectives.

Globaled assists national churches in equipping leaders in over 30 countries through 30 partner institutions and numerous extension programs. More than 40 missionaries partner with 175 national teachers who assist in training over 3,000 resident and 10,000 extension students. This is only a fraction of what needs to be done.

The church is mushrooming in Asia, Africa, Eurasia and Latin America but this success has a price – the tremendous need for adequately trained leaders who preach, teach, make disciples and address issues of injustice.

Many are already leading churches with no training whatsoever. In fact, there are 10,000 churches in Africa, supervised by our partners, without any trained leaders.

The PAOC is committed to the training of pastors and leaders on each of these continents where the church is thriving. We cannot afford to turn away from our training programs those whom God is calling. Each student represents vast untapped potential for the Kingdom.
