I recently joined one of the incredible teams in the newly formed NLI Network. We call ourselves Mission Europe simply because that is what our mission is: for Europe, for Change. Mission Europe works in 5 nations in South Eastern Europe, Albania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Romania and Serbia. We focus on Church Planting, Leadership Development, Short Term Missions, Community Transformation and Social Justice.

My roles are the personal assistant to the South Eastern Europe Team Leader as well as the short term mission co-coordinator of the region. This will allow me to be directly involved with the training of both the teams and the church planters to expand their churches and evangelize to the community. Having experience in both the participating and receiving end of teams, I realize more and more how vital they are and how much they can impact people’s lives. God really uses these teams to do some extraordinary work for His purpose.

The Balkan Region has emerged from Communism and dictatorships, with declarations of independence for many nations only recently recognized internationally. Ethnically fuelled wars crossed geographical boundaries; the affects of which are still reflected today in the people, infrastructure and governments. As the Balkan region continues to develop, the potential for positive input and impact of communities is both striking and unparalled!
