Priority 1 Canada
Focus for 2008-09: Campus Ministries
Mission Canada Campus Ministries is committed to establishing ONE NEW CAMPUS in each district by 2010.
Philosophy. Economics. Political science. Fine arts. Biochemistry. English literature. Computer science. These are the names of the keys to success for a Canadian Student. They devote time, effort, and large sums of money to achieve degrees in their areas of specialization on the belief that education will equip them for life. Graduation finds them prepared to engage life with new knowledge and skill, and confidence that they will make a mark in the world. The glaring gap in that process of readiness is the lack of spiritual preparation. To be fully prepared for all that the future holds, a student needs to grapple with the deeper issues of life - both now and in the hereafter. But how does a student find those conversations on a secular campus? Without a campus church, the chances that any student will find guidance to a life with Christ are limited. And without our support, how will those churches be established? In the past year, three new campus churches have found life… in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario. More are urgently needed. You can play an integral part in the establishment of a church on a campus near you by adding the strength of your prayer and donations to those of other concerned people from across Canada. Mission Canada Campus Ministries is committed to establishing 8 new campus churches by 2010. Will you partner with us to impact the lives of students? Click here to hear a call to prayer on behalf of our campuses by our General Superintendent. Also watch the Priority 1 Canada Campus Ministries video to learn more about the campaign. Your help in communicating the need can ultimately help in planting campus churches and bringing change to the lives of students. Resources:
