BADGE COMPONENTS
The BG Club Badge Program has over 150 different badges which encourage kids to learn new skills and reach great levels of achievement. By working on the various badges, children will:
Grow in their walk with Jesus and have a better understanding of God and His Word
- Develop physical skills
- Form positive Christian character
- Develop great personality and leadership traits
- Sharpen their minds.
BG Club Badges are broken into several categories:
- Administrative Badges
- Award Badges
- Required Achievement Badges
- Required Skill Badges
- Optional Achievement Badges
- Optional Skill Badges
Sample Seekers Badge - Family Focus (Optional Skill Badge)
Requirements:
- Draw or paint a picture of your family and include any pets you may have.
- Make a card for a member of your family to let them know how much you love them.
- For one week, have a parent read a bedtime story to you and pray with you before you go to sleep each night.
Sample Adventurers Badge - Gardening (Optional Skill Badge)
Requirements:
Assist a parent, relative or neighbor in planting the following:
- a rose bush
- one type of perennial flower from bulbs
- one type of annual flower from seeds or bedding plants
- Water and care for the above plants on a daily basis, keeping a weekly journal to report their growth. Include measurements of plant growth.
- Draw a picture of one of your plants when it blooms.
NOTE: This badge may also be obtained through balcony and/or pot gardening.
Sample Explorers Badge - Church Outreach (Optional Achievement Badge)
Requirements:
- Complete an assignment given by your Pastor or BG Director involving a minimum of three hours of work for your church. The work must relate to a current outreach activity in which your church is involved.
- Write a 50-word report describing what you did for your assignment.
Sample Discoverers Badge -Salvation Badge (Award Badge)
This navy badge with a white heart is awarded to a child when they accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. This must be confirmed by the Leader in a personal interview with the child. The red cross represents a decision made as a Discoverer.
NOTE: This badge can be earned at any age level. The cross colour always represents the level in which the commitment was made.
