WHY CHOOSE BG CLUBS?
BG Clubs is a mid-week ministry designed for children ages 3 through 11, to train them to become disciples of Jesus. Our aim is to lead boys and girls to Christ and to provide a fun-filled learning centre in which they can feel comfortable to invite their friends and see them won to Christ. Social relationships and exciting activities develop Christian character on a foundation of Biblical knowledge. The children learn to apply Biblical principles to their everyday lives and begin to develop leadership skills and a heart for missions.
Let's hear the life-changing impact BG Clubs has made on a young girl named Correen:
"My name is Correen and I am eleven years old. I have been in BG Clubs since I was four. I love Jesus! When I get older, I want to go to Bible College and help the poor people. I really feel God calling me in this direction.
In BG Clubs we learn about prayer, reading our Bibles, and we learn to sing. My favourite song is "Our God Is An Awesome God". I know He is awesome because He has answered many of my prayers. My mom gave her heart back to the Lord. Now we go to church together. Just recently, my dad came into my life. I never knew him. God answered that prayer too!
I work very hard on badges. The Bird House Building badge is a special badge to me because this is the first thing my dad and I have done together. I just got the chance to meet my father's mom and dad, and they have accepted me!
I also worked on the Exploring Careers badge... with my dad. I visited his work and was able to see what he does. This is helping me understand him and develop a relationship with him. My dad helped me with my Carpenter's badge. I built two bookends and I am going to give them to my grandfather. My BG Club Leader said this will help towards my Gift Giving badge. I can't see a better person to give this gift to and I can tell my Grandpa that God loves him.
BG Clubs has opened a door for me to talk to my dad about God, and to my dad's parents. God is an awesome God!"
